What is the difference between Cloud VPS and shared hosting?
With shared hosting, server resources are shared between different users and the operating system is managed by the provider. With a Cloud VPS, you get root access to the operating system you choose. This means that you are the administrator and therefore need to know what you’re doing.
The Cloud VPS provider takes care of the hardware and manages the resources, which aren’t shared with others when you opt for one of the VPS Cloud solutions.
How do Cloud VPS and Cloud servers differ?
Compared to Cloud VPS, cloud servers are characterized by higher scalability and flexibility. With a cloud server, you can freely define the server size and adjust it to your needs at any time. Another important advantage is that Cloud servers are billed by the minute (pay-as-you-go), which isn’t the case with Cloud VPS.
